Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez selling $61 million mansion because neither of them like it, claims source

Ben AffleckĀ andĀ Jennifer LopezĀ areĀ putting their fairytale Beverly Hills mansion on the market, but it might not be the final nail in the coffin with regards to their divorce.

WeĀ reported yesterday that the A-list coupleĀ had placed their $61 million property up for sale only a year after having purchased it ā€“ that claim initiallyĀ came from TMZĀ ā€“ and it should come as no surprise that itā€™s since been widely assumed that the reason was because ā€˜Benniferā€™ are splitting up.

There have been all manner of reports in recent weeks concerning the harmony ā€“ or lack thereof ā€“ between Affleck and Lopez, and itā€™s been difficult to draw any conclusion, using the evidence at hand, that suggests the pair are committed to one another.

Affleck, if weā€™re to believe reports, has been living in a rental property for a while now, having moved out of the mansion he shares with J-Lo. Lopez, meanwhile, lastĀ week sensationally canceledĀ her plannedĀ This is Me Nowā€¦ LiveĀ tour of North America, stating that she wanted to spend time with her family.

Needless to say, the situation is far from sunshine and roses.

And yet the potential sale of their home ā€“ TMZĀ say theyā€™ll take a loss on theĀ property after brokerā€™s fees and their own investments for renovations are factored in ā€“ might not be the death knell regarding to their marriage.

PEOPLE Magazine todayĀ cite a source as having detailed how neither Affleck nor Lopez have been happy with the house, and both have reasons that donā€™t necessarily relate to their love for one another.

ā€œBen never liked the house. Itā€™s too far away from his kids,ā€ the source, said to be close to Lopez, offered.

As for Lopez, they claimed: ā€œthe house is way too big for her.ā€

The 38,000 square-foot home in question boasts a reported ā€œ12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage and a pool, plus a sports complex with basketball and pickleball facilities, a gym and a boxing ring.ā€

Nothing to sneer at, Iā€™m sure youā€™ll agree, but an idyllic mansion doesnā€™t always equate to a happy marriage. With Affleck having moved out ā€“ reportedly while he filmsĀ The Accountant 2Ā ā€“Ā and neither partner outright contradicting media reports claiming their marriage is on the slide, thereā€™s certainly adequate space for conjecture to grow.

What do you think about Affleck and Lopezā€™s marriage? Will they make it? Let us know thoughts.
