Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez selling $61 million mansion because neither of them like it, claims source
|Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are putting their fairytale Beverly Hills mansion on the market, but it might not be the final nail in the coffin with regards to their divorce.
We reported yesterday that the A-list couple had placed their $61 million property up for sale only a year after having purchased it â that claim initially came from TMZ â and it should come as no surprise that itâs since been widely assumed that the reason was because âBenniferâ are splitting up.
There have been all manner of reports in recent weeks concerning the harmony â or lack thereof â between Affleck and Lopez, and itâs been difficult to draw any conclusion, using the evidence at hand, that suggests the pair are committed to one another.
Affleck, if weâre to believe reports, has been living in a rental property for a while now, having moved out of the mansion he shares with J-Lo. Lopez, meanwhile, last week sensationally canceled her planned This is Me Now⌠Live tour of North America, stating that she wanted to spend time with her family.
Needless to say, the situation is far from sunshine and roses.
And yet the potential sale of their home â TMZ say theyâll take a loss on the property after brokerâs fees and their own investments for renovations are factored in â might not be the death knell regarding to their marriage.

PEOPLE Magazine today cite a source as having detailed how neither Affleck nor Lopez have been happy with the house, and both have reasons that donât necessarily relate to their love for one another.
âBen never liked the house. Itâs too far away from his kids,â the source, said to be close to Lopez, offered.
As for Lopez, they claimed: âthe house is way too big for her.â

The 38,000 square-foot home in question boasts a reported â12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage and a pool, plus a sports complex with basketball and pickleball facilities, a gym and a boxing ring.â
Nothing to sneer at, Iâm sure youâll agree, but an idyllic mansion doesnât always equate to a happy marriage. With Affleck having moved out â reportedly while he films The Accountant 2 â and neither partner outright contradicting media reports claiming their marriage is on the slide, thereâs certainly adequate space for conjecture to grow.
What do you think about Affleck and Lopezâs marriage? Will they make it? Let us know thoughts.
